Television, Movies and Books

I used to spend a lot of time reading while sitting next to the river.... I even had a favorite tree along the Mississippi River where I loved to lean back and listen to the water and the birds while I enjoyed my favorite books.

I have a few authors that I really like...

Stephen King is my favorite.

'The Stand' is both my most favorite book and movie. King created an entire society, a new world, that continues to fascinate me every time I watch the movie or read the book. He featured his mastery of creating depth in his characters again with the latest release for TV - Rose Red. He introduces you to each character, lets you get to know them. You almost become part of the story because of your reactions to the individuals that you have come to know.. What an awesome talent!

Other authors that I very much enjoy are Koontz, Rule, Rice, Auel and Crichton. There are more, they just aren't coming to mind right now...

I have a few shows on tv that I really like...

In no particular order, just as they come to mind:

bullet

Family type shows like: Seventh Heaven, Doc, Everwood, Gilmore Girls

bullet

Cop and Mystery type shows like: Law and Order, S.V.U., and Criminal Intent, C.S.I, C.S.I Miami and C.S.I. New York, Without a Trace.. With the new season we've also got Medical Investigation and Lost.

bullet

Sci Fi type shows like: Enterprise (all the Star Treks, really)

bulletThere are more.. (what can I say, I like watching tv while working - on the putes or in the kitchen)

Movies... Gosh I do like watching movies.. Little mini-vacations, depending on your frame of mind, right? A good book is like that too...

Some of my favorites include:
Matrix, Twister, Dante's Peak, The Abyss, Congo, Gorillas in the Mist, Ghost, Jurassic Park, The Ghost and the Darkness, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Medicine Man, Romancing the Stone, War of the Roses, Braveheart, Lake Placid, all the Lethal Weapon movies, all the Planet of the Apes movies, and tons more!

I'm a new author?

I've been working on a SciFi Fiction that is turning out to be pretty darn good. I have know idea if I'll ever get it done....  but, who knows when/if I ever finish it I might become the next great author??? And I'm still working on the more serious one, but the fiction has been a lot more fun to work on, the other is too dark and evil, too full of lies and betrayals.
